GESTRA helps plan, estimate, and schedule the underground elements of buildings and infrastructure construction, a part of the project that is often “fast-tracked” to get construction started and out of the ground. We have completed thousands of projects for new buildings andfacilities, additions and renovations, helping companies manage the geotechnical risks and uncertainties of underground construction.

Foxconn, Racine County, WI

Consisted of approximately 1,000 acres of site work and the construction of multiple buildings. The Phase 1 construction work included site work, materials procurement, and temporary logistics preparation.

Rite Hite, Milwaukee, WI

GESTRA’s scope for the project included performing subsurface soil borings up to depth of 130 feet to 150 feet below the existing ground surface and completing laboratory testing.

Distribution Center Renovations, Pleasant Prairie, WI

GESTRA performed bearing capacity observation for foundations; conducted density testing
of structural fill and asphalt, performed subgrade observation and testing; sampled and tested concrete, mortar, and grout; observed concrete reinforcement; and observed structural steel.

Monroe WWTP, Monroe, WI

GESTRA performed construction materials testing as part of this project, which consisted of extensive upgrades to a significant amount of the plant’s aging infrastructure and equipment, as well as improving its capacity. GESTRA performed bearing capacity verifications for foundations; conducted density testing of structural fill and sampled and tested concrete.

Komatsu Headquarters, Milwaukee, WI

GESTRA performed geotechnical exploration, laboratory soil tests to assign classification and engineering properties to the soils encountered and completed the geotechnical engineering for the project.
