Warehouse & Distribution Center Construction & Renovation, Pleasant Prairie, WI
The new 250,000 square feet distribution center is being constructed on 60 acres and the existing 560,000 square feet building is being renovated. The development includes: 25 acres of pavements, access roadways, and parking for over 500 tractor trailers. GESTRA performed bearing capacity observation for foundations; conducted density testing of structural fill and asphalt; performed subgrade
observation and testing; sampled and tested concrete, mortar, and grout; observed concrete reinforcement; and observed structural steel. |
Pumping Station No. 18 Force Main, Madison/Monona, WI
GESTRA provided vibration monitoring services during installation of a 60-inch force water main beneath the Beltline Highway and the Yahara River. Vibrations originating from the pipe driving operation were monitored utilizing seismic recording instruments, so
that vibrations reaching adjacent buildings were within specified limits. |
Monroe WWTP Alterations and Additions, Monroe, WI
GESTRA performed construction materials testing as part of this project, which consisted of extensive upgrades to a significant amount of the waste water treatment plant’s aging infrastructure and equipment, as well as improving its capacity. The project is slated to cost upwards of $25 million dollars. GESTRA performed bearing capacity verifications for foundations; conducted density testing of structural fill, and sampled and tested concrete. The project began in Spring 2013 and will be completed Winter 2014. Over 160 sets of concrete cylinders were cast throughout the duration of this project.
