Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager - Madison, WI
GESTRA Engineering is looking for a motivated and reliable Project Manager or Engineer who would be responsible for managing key client projects with the goal of delivering quality and cost effective services.
Responsibilities
• Project management of construction materials testing projects.
• Testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, fireproofing and asphalt pavement.
• Review of field reports, laboratory testing reports and technician services.
• Managing project process, budget, technical issues.
• Client contact and attending meetings.
• Coordination of day to day testing services.
• Testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, fireproofing and asphalt pavement.

Requirements
• Minimum of a BS degree in engineering, construction management or a related field required.
• Previous Geotechnical or CMT experience.
• EIT or P.E. (or seeking to obtain P.E. in near future) would be a plus. Alternatively, other CMT certifications will be considered.
• Understanding of soil mechanics and specialty construction testing.
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to read and understand construction plans.
• Good driving record and valid WI driver's license.
• Must pass pre-employment, non-DOT drug screening.
• Clear and concise English communication skills both written and verbal.
• Candidate will provide own construction appropriate clothing, safety equipment will be provided.

On the Job
• Work is generally Mon-Fri between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, with some Saturday and evening work.
• Employee would be primarily working out of the Madison office, although occasional support of our Milwaukee office may be necessary.

• Prior testing experience with residential and commercial construction
• HTCP or ACI Certifications.
• Prior DOT testing experience.
• Nuclear density gauge safety trained

Pay and Benefits
• Pay is based on level of prior experience, and valid applicable certifications.
